(6) KUUMBA (Creativity) to inspire ourselves to keep developing new ways of expressing our music and art as well as being creative In our work and industrial pursuits. To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
SIDEBAR: Music and the arts are probably the highest form of expression of the human mind, body and spirit. Music embraces vibrations and sound that can send the body and mind into another state of being, thinking and living. Coupled with words, music can encourage us to either be creative or destructive.
In 2010, let those who have been given musical talent use their talent to lift the world to higher state of living and being. Let those who have been blessed with oratory skills use those skills to paint loving and unifying images within the minds of the hurting and downtrodden. Let those that are blessed with artistic abilities paint or draw pictures that direct humanity to a place of peace and calm.
A community is only as beautiful as the people that inhabit it. We (not God) are responsible for the well being of this earth and the inhabitants living thereon. Together, we can do this!!!
Hold On (Change Is Comin') by Sounds of Blackness
Yesterday a man stepped to me he said "how can u smile when your world is crumbling down?"
I said,"here's my secret," ooo," when I wanna cry, i take a look around and I see that I'm getting by and I hold on
Hold on:change is coming
hold on: don't worry bout a thing
Hold on:you can make it
Hold on: everything'll be alright
Some people like to worry; some people like to hide some people like to run away from the pain inside.
Now it's your business; do whatever you wanna do; but if it don't work out here's what you oughta do now just hold on
Repeat chorus 2x's
When the troubles of life weigh you down; just lift your head up yeah, yeah; when the love you seek is hard to find; don't giv up, just be strong, keep the faith and hold onnnnnnnnnnn
